I drove out to East Hampton on Friday morning. One hundred miles later, I turned into 4 Saddle Lane. It was better than I expected. It's a beautiful house.
Really, it's a happy house. How do I know? Even rain and 40-degree temperatures didn't dampen our first summer weekend. We SoulCycled a lot., and when that wasn't enough, we added a Barry's Bootcamp class. We ate well. And we drank well. We laughed.
And when the sun did shine on the last day, that beautiful house, that happy house, became a spectacular house. Pool time included.
I'm back in my office in New York. It's almost 11 a.m. On one hand, I'm lacking motivation. On the other, I'm abundantly inspired. Life is good, and I'm replaying bits and pieces of the weekend. Most important memory - toward the end of yesterday's spin class, the instructor said "Don't Take This For Granted."
Never.
