It was a cool start to the morning, and I decided I would be a good world citizen and take a tour of Santiago.
I took my seat on the upper deck of a highly recommended tour bus ready to learn. I guess I learned something, but once I considered jumping from the top. Maybe twice. The recorded tour was given in Spanish and English, which was helpful except when we were blowing down the freeway. You could hear nothing. And then when we were stalled in traffic, which was about 90% of the time, there was nothing.
I did learn that the shopping mall nearby is "one of the most important in Latin America." And also that one of the high rise office buildings has 22 elevators. What?
I didn't bother to take any pictures on the tour. If you've seen any of my other photos, Santiago looks the same except the signs are in Spanish and occasionally, a cactus pops into view, and there's the required fruit stand
Santiago didn't impress me. And as soon as that tour bus rolled to stop near my hotel, I jumped.
By then, the sun was out, and I grabbed a table near the pool. Lunch was served. The sun felt good, and the view impressed me.
I should've been there all along.
