It all started with Madison.
I showed up at the hospital just a few hours after she was born with her first Bitty Baby. Birthdays and Christmases followed. With some help from my mom and dad, high chairs, baby beds, changing tables, twins, strollers, a horse, and clothes flowed in.
Then Leddy came along a couple of years later, and back I went to American Girl on Fifth Avenue, and back on American Airlines I went with another Bitty Baby and a trunk full of baby doll gear as my carry on.
Yesterday, we took them to American Girl in Dallas. None of the pictures in this post capture what I saw today. Watching those two little girls see all of that for the first time - priceless.
Our first stop was the hair salon. Nicki needed some help. As did her horse Jackson.Leddy's baby was in good shape, but she needed a little fix too. This little baby got a name today - please welcome Avery to the collection.
Then we looked at every doll and dress in the store, and we rode the escalator up and down several times to check on the dolls in the salon.
Don't worry, these girls didn't walk out empty handed.
And if that wasn't enough, we jumped right out of the car and into the swimming pool and Jake joined us.

Madison and Leddy - you were the sweetest little angels today. You amaze me.
Baby Jenna, there's a Bitty Baby waiting for your arrival on August 4. But do me a favor, come a few days early!
And Jake, my little man, today it's you and me. Make me laugh.
