The sun has officially set on summer. I can't believe it. I'm not happy about it. And I'm going to see what I can do about extending it. But today was terrific - I spent the afternoon in Central Park with my closest friends. Great fun! And that's the spirit we need to take into fall.Now, I'm gearing up for tomorrow. And I'm thinking about the important thing - what I'm going to wear on the first day of school. I remember my first day of kindergarten and what I wore - Brittania jeans, a yellow knit shirt with a baby blue collar, and **the best** Snoopy sneakers. The 70s were so cool, and so were those shoes. My mom let me wear them out of Sanger Harris in Dallas. I was sure they made me run faster, and that red dot on the bottom helped me stop on a dime. Today, I still like to wear new shoes as soon as I get them. And sometimes I do run faster.
