I went to Brooklyn twice yesterday. I hope everyone is happy.
Ok. I'll admit it that it was a fun day. I'm just not crazy about Brooklyn the way some are. And that's okay. We all have to be somewhere.
Imani, my friend Thelma's daughter, is here doing an internship at a film company. Imani wanted to show me her favorite parts of Brooklyn. And off we went. First, lunch in Fort Greene. Then to the Brooklyn Flea Market, the hottest place I've ever been. Seriously a scorcher. And finally to the Brooklyn Museum - a beautiful place. And the exhibit - meaning the air conditioning - was impressive. The other stuff was nice, too. Imani planned a perfect day.
About the time I got home, cooled off, and rehydrated, I got a call from Marc and Drew to meet them to see Captain America. And I was off again, this time to Brooklyn Heights. Fun.
Who doesn't love a super hero?
