Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Brotherly Advice

Good Monday morning. The weekend was filled with equal parts of fun and relaxation to make it possible to write that with honesty. I'm still trying to figure out how/why the closing ceremony was so much more fun and entertaining than the shit-show that opened the Olympics. I'm sure it was created by some unknown junior producer. Bravo.

I have my 20-year high school reunion in October. I brought back my senior yearbook and looked through it yesterday. Hmmm. I had forgotten a few things, and since the yearbook arrived after I went to college, I probably didn't look it over all that carefully. In fact, I know I didn't because when I got to the last page, I caught a glimpse of someone's handwriting - the only one who signed my book.  It turned out to be from my brother Judd. Here's what he wrote:

Josh,

I may be the only one to write a bunch of gushy crap about how sweet you are and just stay the same and you will go far, but I am sorry to say you better not stay the same because you won't get very far the way you are now. It was about damn time to get these damn Growls (name of yearbook). Like I said, if you stay the way you are now you won't make it.

Bye,

Judd

I laughed out loud. Enough said. Brotherly advice at its best. And even though I got the message 20 years later, let me see what I can do.

Still Reading. Still Walking.
