Wherever you go in Buenos Aires you are greeted with a smile and "Buen Dia", or Good Day. And so today, September 11, it's only fitting to say "Buen Dia" to all who lost someone that day. Your memories stand taller and stronger than any building that will ever stand in that place, and your love burns brighter than any lights that will ever shine there. To love. And hope. And possibility.

On a much lighter note, it's Saturday morning in Buenos Aires. Every magazine, guide book and Website recommended an early morning trip to the Recoleta Cemetery.
I know. Creepy.
Yes. It was. The stray cats were the worst.
But, it was also amazing to see almost 5,000 elaborate and ornate mausoleums dating back to the 1800s. I didn't stay long because, again, it was slightly creepy. And I shouldn't have looked inside one of the mausoleums.

It was about a 30 minute walk to the cemetery, and I decided to take a different route back to the hotel. It was fun to see locals enjoying their Saturday morning, and I couldn't resist a stop at Como En Casa, a cute little coffee shop. My new word of the day is medialunes, or croissants. One was enough.

One more stop to go. More from Sao Paulo tomorrow.
