I decided the best way to start this day was a run in Singapore's Botanic Garden. I've run through there a lot on previous trips, and I've never been disappointed. I always see something different. Something beautiful. This morning was no different. It was even better. When I left the hotel, the full moon was still visible, and by the time I got to the Botanic Garden, the sun was breaking through. I didn't see any Easter bunnies, but lots of birds and nature's best -- the smell of the blossoms, the sound of the waterfalls and rolling waters.I thought about all of the blessings in my life - my family, my friends, and the beautiful things about life. It is an amazing thing -- life.I also thought about my dear friend Amy, who this week will face the fight of her life at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. I know she will fight with grace. courage. bravery. You will beat this, my friend. The quality of the images isn't great, but the memories are.
With five miles done first thing, that meant I could eat a big breakfast. And that's just what I did.
Now, I am going to the pool. Work starts tonight, and I'm going to enjoy this day. Happy Easter!
