Life is good. The skies are blue. The sun is bright. Happy Sunday morning.
I'm just back from a run, and I have to say it's much easier to step it up along the Hudson. Here's a look:Last night, a little bit of Antigua swept TriBeCa. Traci and I went to a birthday party for Anika and Eliot at their home. Anika's family is from Antigua. What a feast they prepared! What a beautiful family! That food paired with a sandy beach, an easy day, and an island breeze sounds pretty terrific. Let's go! I'll meet you on the beach.
And speaking of travel, Traci and I had the best cabby last night.. In fact, he's the Happy Cabby NYC. Google him. You Tube him. Facebook him. He's there, and for a brief ride, he was ours.
We hailed the taxi at Sullivan and Houston. Windows down. Music blaring. He was smiling ear-to-ear, and so were we! He sped away, and a block later, he asked where we wanted to go. Oh yeah. TriBeCa, please. So in between some fist bumps, and a few music changes, he told us the rules of his cab. NO STRESS. NO TENSION. NOT IN HIS CAB.
We smiled. We laughed. And it was too short. The fare was $6. I gave him $10. And, I wish he was always my cabby.
No Stress. No Tension. Only Happiness.
