Excuse me for a minute while I wipe away the sweat and remove a layer of clothing.
Ok.
It's a balmy 57 degrees just before 8 o'clock on January 14. I don't know what is happening.
The weekend was a nice one - equal parts fun and work. The good kind. Saturday was a day for purging - out with the old. Room for new. Apt. 2C got just a little lighter. A boot camp birthday on Saturday night left me a little lighter, and I have to say an activity-themed party reminded me of childhood skating and swimming parties. Fun!
I spent all of Sunday preparing for a new project. That was fun, too. And I'm going to write about it soon, but it needs just a little more fine tuning. It's good - and I think you'll enjoy.
And that brings me to Monday morning. It's a good one. I personally don't know Robin Roberts from Good Morning America, but I admire her. I watched occasionally, and when she became sick, I read a lot about bone marrow transplants and the road ahead of her. I followed closely and was anxious to get updates along the way. So when she announced this morning that her doctors can find no trace of cancer, and that she's returning to work in the weeks ahead, I paused to appreciate equal parts science and medicine, positivity, and yes, miracles.
Robin ended her segment sharing something she repeated along her journey - "Never Give Up. Never Give Up."
I like that.
