When the alarm sounded this morning, I needed five more minutes. I took an hour. Snoozing is not good and it's unusual that I do it.
I bypassed the gym and went straight to the office. Three out of the four meetings I had this morning were colossal messes. Colossal. Since this is my blog, I will also say that I had absolutely nothing to do with the origin of the mess.
When I dashed out to get lunch, the heavens opened up. My umbrella was conveniently located in my office. I hopped and skipped from one awning to another, and now that I'm back in my office, the sun has come out. I'm slowly drying out.
We can move forward.
And speaking of forward, I intended to offer some commentary on the start of the Democratic National Convention. But given the start to my day, I'll only say Julian Castro and Michelle Obama impressed me. Their parents committment to educating their children and giving them a better life impressed me more.
They went forward.
So although I didn't create the chaos of the morning, it's my responsibility to clean it up. I'll get it done and while I'm doing it, I'm going to consider what else I can do. First, no more snoozing. On any level.
Moving forward.
