I thought it was universal - kids go to sleep at 8:30. Not these kids. They are just getting started. And why not? We had a big day. Why stop?
I went with Jason in the afternoon to see what he's likely to be doing on any given Friday. Fun. See pictures. Back at home, we played a mean game of Duck, Duck, Goose and Simon Says. Both games make the girls giggle.
They wanted to go fishing, and off we went. We immediately tangled one of the lines. Madison was determined to cast her own line, and promptly hooked Leddy's jeans, and we all three got wrapped in the line. I dealt with it.
I got Leddy set and was helping Madison, when I heard Leddy confidently say "Josh, I got one." She did, and Madison immediately said "I WANT ONE!"
I dealt with the fish and the hook and what the heck to do with that fish while Madison alternated between "I WANT ONE" and "I'LL NEVER CATCH ONE." That went on for about an hour.
And then Madison reeled one in. Thank the lord. Dealing with the fish and the hook was much easier the second time.
We kept the fish in a bucket for a while, and went back late last night to release them. Leddy said "Bye little fishes. See you next time."
Okay...I gotta go. One more day, and I'm running late.
