Friday morning here. 8 a.m. Guess what? Still waiting on the construction crew. Whatever. We're leaving for the lake in two hours. If they're here, there here.
So there's this game that is played when little kids are around. It's a spelling bee to conceal something the adults don't want the little ones to know. I'm not that good at it mostly because I'm out of practice and it's always unexpected. Yesterday, Lou Ann said "Where did I put that k-n-i-f-e?"
As I was putting the letters together, Leddy, just barely five, said "KNIFE!"
I'm glad to report the next generation is smarter and faster. Cuter, too.
