You had to know this was coming.
But, I wanted to wait until the last show to say what I wanted to say. I needed to know how it was going to end.
Done. Here we are. Like she said "All sweet. No bitter."
I know.
Laugh at me. I don't care.
You must have laughed before. You must have rolled your eyes.
That's fine. I can take it.
I was in junior high when I turned on the television and asked "Who is this black lady on TV? What's her name? OF-RAH?"
So it started. I've been watching ever since.
She was always waiting when I came home. Right there on videotape. And then on DVR. I fast forwarded through some. I turned a few off. And I watched a couple of shows more than once. I have two copies of her 20 Year Anniversary Collection -- gifts from friends who knew I'd enjoy. I did. I bought her magazine. I read some of the books she said we should read.
So there won't be any more sappiness in this post than this: What did I learn from Oprah?
Anything is possible. For sure.
People have asked me: what are you going to do? And honestly, I asked myself that, too.
Well, here it is:
Now that I have 43 extra minutes in my day and because anything is possible, there's plenty.
It's gonna be good. All sweet.
