Was there a Ladies Home Journal article published in the 1960s that told women to unplug coffee makers? I need to know.
My mom does this, but I only visit three to four times a year. I can deal.
But at the office? Ugh. Not only does the lady unplug it, she drains the water from the Keurig and temporarily disables power to the electrical outlet. It took 16 minutes for me to brew a cup and return to my desk. By then, I wasn't even in the mood.
I used that time to contemplate the miles of electrical wire that's strung through the buidling to power lots of equipment. And then I thought about the millions of miles of electrical wire buried underground. There's also the subway roaring below us.
And you have to unplug this coffee maker?
