Yesterday after work, I made a rare appearance at the gym. I could hear the hum of the treadmills as I climbed the stairs, and when I reached the top, I could see and smell the New Year's resolutions in action. Those folks were sweat-tee and burning some love.
From there I headed home, made some dinner, and turned on the tube. I skimmed my DVR list, was generally unimpressed, and returned to live programming. I landed on The Biggest Loser. That was two hours of drama. I'm hooked, and I'm watching next week. For sure.
I flipped over to AC360. Anderson was interviewing funny ladies Joan Rivers, Joy Behar, Kathy Griffin, AND Phyllis Diller. Anderson asked how Ms. Diller was, and she replied "I'm alive!" I had no idea!! See what you learn when you watch the news. And it was good for a couple of laughs, too.
And then I clicked over to Chelsea Lately. She showed a clip of a lady who likes to eat toilet paper. Specifically, two-ply toilet paper. The story went on to reveal that the lady feels most comfortable eating the toilet paper at movie theatres because it's dark and she can do it in peace. Disturbing. Yet fascinating.
I figured that was enought for the night, and turned in. Slept like a baby.
Today marks the start of the 112th Congress. There was lots of talk on the morning shows from the new leadership. Blah blah blah.
Nancy Pelosi said "We look forward."
Short statement. Good plan.
Oh yeah, another plan: No more Chick-Fil-A.
