Even the turtles couldn't get enough of yesterday's weather. It was Easter Sunday, and people were out and about. The warm and mostly sunny weather was a big surprise. And I can say I officially broke a sweat. Mark it down.
I was a good boy and went to church with Traci. I thought about doodling on the program like I did when I was little. I didn't. Now, I wish I had.
Traci then decided we were having Mexican food. And no, she told the waiter, we would not be having any guacamole because she doesn't eat that. HUH?
I ordered a margarita.
Next, Traci decided we would go in search of her dessert because she had given that up for Lent. It would not be at the restaurant. She wanted to search for it. I guess like the prize egg.
I ordered another margarita.
I threw out a few suggestions which I think were perfectly delicious.
No, she said, that's not what she had in mind. She couldn't describe it.
Then, she wanted her picture made in Central Park. But she didn't like any of the photos. (Readers, are you seeing a trend?)
Eventually, we made our way from the west side to the east side. I suggested a few more places.
Nope.
She'd heard of this place called Alice's Teacup.
Fine.
We went there.
And what did they have?
A bunch of screaming, wild-ass kids. And the dessert Traci was looking for, which was a brownie with ice cream.
Last I saw Traci - she was headed home happy.
And I headed downtown for some peace and quiet.
