I've been to Brooklyn twice in three days. I have to get control. But last night's trip was important - a tv show premiere party. My friend Marc has been working on Smash, NBC's new show. That was fun.
Speaking of smash, that's what I wanted to do the telephone yesterday. Hundreds of phone calls at work.
"I have a question."
Blah. Blah. Blah.
I wanted to say "that's actually a statement."
I didn't.
And do you know the most popular word among teenagers today?
"Um."
"Um. Um. Um. So. Like. Um. I have a question."
Ugh!!
So dear readers, if you have a teenager, know a teenager, or just care about the future of the world, and you hear them say "um", please stop them right there and let them know "um" is not a word.
