Today's going to be the big wash out. Goodbye snow and salt and gunk.
This post is a mixed bag of sorts. A little this. A little that.
My day started at 2:50 a.m. when my drunk neighbor came home and decided to beat down the door to his apartment. Or at least it sounded that way. It's still not clear to me if someone was on the other side of that door. Or if he was just drunk and yelling at his girlfriend. I was about to call the police when he left. Silence. Then he came back. All hell broke lose again. This time the landlord showed up. And so did the police. It's unclear what happened next. By 4:30 a.m., there was peace at 210 Sullivan.
Speaking of peace - that describes how I was sleeping before the beat down. Probably because my gut was so full. I met a couple of friends for dinner last night, and I could tell we all had stressful days by the amount of food we ordered. Fried pickles, hush puppies, salads, entrees, apple pie and ice cream. All good. The ice cream - the best! It was so good that I had to do the ole recline in the taxi on the way downtown. I was full. I thought about cracking the window just for some fresh air. It was raining.
And despite the heavy rain this morning, I say it's going to be a good day. How do I know? When I rolled into the office, my favorite security guard was cracking jokes at my expense. A real smart ass.
