I was googled yesterday by Google. The conference was great, but when we broke for lunch and headed to the company cafeteria, we got a glimpse inside their office space. We walked about a city block. Employees on scooters zipped past us. We passed two snack areas with all of the coffee, chips, fruit, cereal and sodas you can imagine. It's free. There were cookies, too. We turned the corner into the rec room -- ping pong tables, weights, treadmills. All being used by employees. Once inside the cafeteria, I felt like a little kid on the first day of school. I had my lunch tray and wasn't really sure what to do. Anything and everything was available. I had plenty. Trust me. And this was not your average cafeteria food. Good stuff. Did I mention it's free for employees?
So back at the office today. A little smarter. And I think I'm going to get a drink of water. It's free. Will remind me of my google day.
