Wow and Thank You

More than once this weekend I just had to stop for a second and say:

"Wow"

"And thank you!"

It started with lunch on Thursday. Su is the big sister I don't have, and
she was in town. During lunch, we caught up. We talked, and we laughed. Just
like old times. It was the best.

And then there was dinner on Friday night at Soho House to celebrate Dolly
and Juliette's arrival into town. I joined Marc and Drew and Anika. What a
blast!

On Saturday, the first stop was at the Pratt's. Eliot, could I have another
one of those roast beef sandwiches? Man, those were good.

Next stop: Brooklyn. The pouring rain couldn't put a damper on the evening.
Love filled the air for Rachel and Ryan's engagement party. It was more than
terrific.

Sunday was a beautiful day. I mean really, really beautiful. I spent a big
part of the morning taking photos for my mom. She's having an "Autumn in New
York" party, and it's my job to transport a little bit of NYC down to Texas.

Yesterday afternoon I stopped by Ideya briefly to say hi to Anika and Eliot.
Avery was cute with the candied apple, and little Rowan was all smiles while
he was hiding under the table. Halloween candy might have had something to
do with that smile!

And speaking of Halloween candy, I love that kids everywhere are on a
weeklong sugar high! Enjoy it kids.
