Dear Mr. President,
The last time I sent a letter to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was in the early 1980s. I was upset because each week it seemed President Reagan interrupted one of my favorite TV shows to address the nation. I have no idea what he said, but it was probably important.
Last night, I was watching the evening news. There you were in Iowa. No suit. No tie. Your sleeves were rolled up. A river was flowing behind you, and people had come to hear you speak. You, the president of the United States of America, the man elected to lead the most powerful nation in the world. And while I didn't hear your entire speech, I did hear you say this - "You need to let Washington know you don't like what's happening there."
Well, Mr. Presdient, you are Washington. We elected you. We sent you there. You are the president of the United States of America.
Really, it's your turn.
Sincerely,
Josh Murray
