Happy Saturday.
The shooting outside the Empire State Building yesterday was senseless. I immediately thought of my friends and thought of which ones might have been in the area. Luckily, none were.
I don't know what the answer is about gun control. I grew up with guns. My dad built, restored, and collected them more than he ever fired them. They all remain locked in a cabinet now. So I can say without a doubt that not everyone with guns are bad.
But I do know that there's a time and a place for them. New York City isn't one of them. Movie theaters and schools aren't either. And I also know crazy people have no business with them, but how do you regulate and monitor crazy? You can't.
So what's the answer?
