It's amazing where an airplane can take you. Just after noon on Monday, I touched down in Abilene. The family is here for a rodeo, and I signed up to join them.
Four little ones were waiting at the airport with hugs and kisses. We had lunch, we swam, we napped, and then we went to the rodeo. Leddy, the sweet and gentle one, had a breakdown.
Lou Ann told me to set our stuff in the handicapped area. I questioned her, and she said that's where she sits. I didn't question her any further. We did have a chair, an ice chest, two bags of toys, and two kids. I know now that qualifies you for handicapped assistance.
We went to bed sometime after 1 a.m. I think. I really have no idea. But it's Tuesday now, and I just made this waffle.
There's a gal at the front desk that has said "GOOD MORNIN" to everyone for the last hour. GOOD MORNIN GOOD MORNIN GOOD MORNIN. I heard Lou Ann coming.
"GOOD MORNIN," the lady said. "How are YOU?
Lou Ann flatly said "Fine."
I laughed out loud. The first of the day.
