Welcome to my blog.

You never know what you're going to get around here.

Madison, who's six, can't sit still. She jumps around. She twists. She turns. Leddy, the four year-old, is just the opposite. She's quiet. She'd rather cuddle. And she's thinking about being a Rockette when she grows up.

They stopped by yesterday, and we put on the DVD of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for the third or fourth time. Leddy wanted me to get in the floor and watch with her. Madison was jumping around in front of the television. Leddy lost it. She screamed "MADISON, I'M LOOKING FOR BABY JESUS!"

That scared Madison off into the kitchen, and she made cookies with Lucy.

Jason showed up later with our long-time family friend Bo. The two of them decided to sing Christmas carols for us, and that was just awful enough to be funny. Judd called in to listen by phone.

Before they left, Leddy made sure to give me lots of cuddle time and good bye kisses. And now that I've just heard that she woke up with a stomach virus at 3 a.m., I'm a little worried.

Kiddy germs are the worst.
