Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Twas the Night Before...

When I was little, I remember waiting and

waiting and waiting for my cousins from West Texas to arrive at Mama Do and Daddy Do's. I thought they'd never get there. I'd wait and wait and wait.

I remember there were lots of stockings hanging from the mantle. Two pies. Food for the reindeer. Uncle Clint's great big laugh. And Brandy Ice.

Some things change over the years. Some haven't.

There's been a lot of preparation today. There are two pies. And I thought Jake and Jenna would never get here. I'll admit I went to the window a few times just to see if they were driving in. I waited and waited and waited.

It was a special treat to have Judd & Jill and the little ones here tonight. Jake and I got the reindeer food ready right away. And Jake only had to ask once if he could open a gift. I was more than excited to let him open mine. It was an Alphie -- my all-time favorite gift when I was his age. We had fun.

We went to church for the candlelight service, and Jake fell asleep. Hard.

Leddy and Madison just arrived. Santa's coming here, and Jason and Heather have a lot of work to do. I've never seen two little girls so excited to go to bed.

To All A Good Night...
