I have to give  a standing ovation to the lady working American Airlines check-in line at LGA yesterday. Priority check-in was fouled up, and when I went to head for the shorter line in economy, this lady started to scold me.

When I explained the problem, she looked hard at me, cut her eyes to the left and right, and then said "Go to counter 21. There's a supervisor there. He has to help you. And don't tell him I sent you." She winked and sent me on my way. It worked. After I checked in, I passed by her again, I winked, she nodded, and the people in line glared at me.

The rest of the trip was smooth sailing. I'm pretty sure that was a new plane, the crew was pleasant and happy, and once we got in the air, the pilot made up lost time and we landed as scheduled.

I got lots of uncle love from the oldest three last night. Jenna gave me the stare down. And Jack burst into tears. Three outta five ain't bad.

Today, I've been invited to have school lunch at 11 with Madison, Jake and Leddy. The time is perfect for me, and grilled cheese sandwiches are on the menu. My mom said the food is awful, and I should plan to eat later. I shall see.
