Wednesday was a special day. A fancy day. We started with a little help from the nice lady at the salon across the street. Madison had her hair blown out -- a wise investment. And then we stopped in for some sparkly blue nail polish. All very important for a little girl on her way to The Plaza.
Madison thought 16 Handles would be perfect for lunch. She walked in like a pro, pulled her favorite flavor, and enjoyed every sprinkly bite. We went home to change, and Madison took lots of time getting ready. Lots. She wanted to make sure her hair was just right.
We played in the Eloise shop, and Madison had just enough money to walk out with a stuffed animal. Our reservation for tea was at four. She enjoyed the peanut butter & jelly sandwich the best. In fact, she had seconds. Madison noticed that all of the waiters "look alike" and said "I think this is probably a family business." Funny.
She wanted a hot dog afterwards. Even funnier.
The ladies had makeovers at Bergdorf Goodman, and then it was theatre time. The Lion King did not disappoint. When we got home, Madison said "The Lion King is cool."
It is.
Today? We're taking it easy. We have a lunch date at Serendipity.
