Bill Evans, the WABC-TV weatherman, pissed me off this morning. At 5:50 a.m., he had the nerve to tell me that the days are getting shorter and that summer is coming to an end. I say no way. Not yet. Stop it.
In other news, Nadia, the housekeeper at the office, is back. She's been out sick for months. She's better now.
And yes, I know I'm probably not supposed to call her a housekeeper, but that's what she is. I think she's fine with it. I'd ask her except that my Spanish isn't good. Actually, it's pretty terrible. But we like each other. We talk a little. She hums while she dusts, and that makes me think of Emma.
Can I tell you how much I like the smell of freshly vacuumed carpet?
I know. I'm weird.
