So Bruno Mars has this song - The Lazy Song. The first line is "Today I don't feel like doing anything. I just wanna lay in my bed." That's sort of how I felt this morning. And I decided on this summer Wednesday morning, I could do just that. At least for a little while.
I made coffee, turned on the TV, and listened carefully to the discussion on the debt ceiling. The only thing I understood from the whole conversation was Matt Lauer's last question to some Washington leader: "Doesn't the American public deserve better than this?"
Surely. Democrats. Republicans. This shouldn't be happening. The next story though was more telling. Rep. Wu, from Oregon, who's resigning due to "sexual misconduct" with an 18-year old. Wu has decided he won't resign until he helps resolve the debt crisis. Huh? What? Now, you're going to do your job? It seems clear now what the priority has been in Washington. I think we all know what that is.

I love a fun Tuesday evening, and that's just how to describe last night. And while we were enjoying some guacamole and tacos, a little summer storm blew in. We hit the Apple store just in time to dodge the downpour. All seemed clear on the way out, and I was about four blocks from home when the second wave hit. Drenched.
It happens.
And you know, it was worth it.
