I think there's something to that generosity and gratitude thing.
Yesterday, the dreaded 10 o'clock appointment showed up and dropped a big four letter word right away to let me know we're on the same page about the issue in question. It could be the start of something good.
Later, the rain came and cooled this place off. I couldn't resist taking a spin through the village. I call this "walking the dog." I don't have a dog, but imagine that walks like this are involved. No agenda (well, for a dog there is.) Just a few minutes outside. Taking it all in. I made a few phone calls. Shared a few laughs.
It was the best part of the day.
