Brace yourself. It might be one of those days.
I headed toward Starbucks this morning, and the line was so long I opted not to get tangled up in that mess. Back on the street, I encountered one group of street people camped out complaining about their day. It was 7:30 a.m.
Then there was the tall, peaceful giant that is usually sitting quietly on the corner of Greene & West 4th. I've written about him before. Today, he was standing, looking toward the heavens and gently swaying back and forth with his hands raised.
The next couple I met was huffing and puffing with their carts toward Washington Square Park. As we passed, I heard the agitated lady say to the man "Look, I have stop here and THEN I have to ..."
I hope the next words out of her mouth were "shower and go for laser hair removal."
Nasty stuff, folks. Nasty. I forgot all about coffee.
