Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and a little Tuesday

Let me just catch you up before I forget what we did.

Saturday
The ladies were served breakfast in bed. It sounds fancy. But it's more functional. I left them to get dressed and headed to drop off Simon at daycare. I guess at some point he became attached to the ladies because he put "the break" on at the end of my street. We had a discussion. He breaked once more. I pushed through.

I returned to 210. The ladies were ready, and we headed to Grand Central to board a train to Cold Spring, NY about an hour upstate. As we boarded, I realized I had left my phone at home. I guess we lose and forget things in my family.

The ride along the bank of the Hudson River was nice. We had lunch. Strolled on the Main Street. And boarded a 4:10 pm train back. I really missed my phone. And since the ladies were constantly on theirs, I really felt left out. I reminded them we had come a long way and they were missing out by texting and facebooking.

Geez. What are we going to do with senior citizens today?

We had dinner at Nobu Next Door in TriBeCa with Traci, Drew and Marc. So good. Off to sleep.

Sunday
Another round of breakfast in bed. We said goodbye and put Lou Ann in a cab. We headed to the Met Museum for a full day. We hit Ralph Lauren, window shopped in the rain along Madison Avenue, and then had a nice cozy Italian dinner at Bar Pitti.

Monday
Simon checked out of Hotel Murray. Dottie and I went to the Museum of Modern Art. We arrived just in time for a lecture on the Cindy Sherman exhibit. We took all of that and more in, had lunch, and cabbed it to the Guggenheim. We headed back downtown for some shopping, and must say that Hot Dot walked out with a little dress from DVF.

We missed Lou Ann throughout the day.

Drew confirmed at the last minute that we were indeed on the list for TriBeCa Film Festival party. We went home to change, and --  for the record --  DSG can get ready in just minutes when a party is happening. We went. We mingled. And then settled in for a late dinner at Buvette. Perfect meal at the bar. And after a solid 12 hours of non-stop action, neither of us had trouble sleeping.

Tuesday
I went into the office early to get some work done, and then ran out for one last hurrah with DSG. We window shopped through SoHo and stopped into a couple of furniture stores. We said our goodbyes...last seen heading to LaGuardia in a taxi.

The two were better than ever...the trip was more than I expected...as close to perfect as you can get..It left me saying - Come Back Soon!
