Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

The Poop on Cathay Pacific Flight 841

Have you ever seen one of those 18-wheelers hauling a load of chickens?

That pretty much describes my flight to Hong Kong.  It was full. It was crowded. And just down right miserable.  I’m sure there was poop on the floor somewhere.

I counted 10 babies in the back section of that 777. The flight attendants tell me it was just as bad up front.

Don't forget the three toddlers. One sitting next to me, and two more that continually run up and down the aisle.  The one sitting next to me has been slapped three times, yelled out continuously, and cuddled occasionally. And the mother has decided to lean on my right arm while she sleeps, so it’s nothing short of a miracle that I’m evening typing this. But she shut up, and I’ll take that over the screaming.

I didn't sleep one second after take off.  I watched a couple of movies,  and for the first time, I completed the New York Times crossword puzzle. I guess I’m into the crossword puzzles  – I also did three more on the in-flight entertainment system.

Speaking of words, I’d like to know how to say these words in Chinese:

Shhh!

Sit down!

Hush!

And shut the **** up!

Readers, please get back to me if you know.

Three hours from Hong Kong a lady stood up in her seat and started screaming at the man in front of her. I'm not sure what that was about, but by the looks on the faces around us, she really let him have it.

And according to my flight attendant friends, Cathay Pacific Flight 841 out of Kennedy is always like this. She said take the 12:30 out of New York. Now I know.

So it’s Wednesday in Singapore. We arrived. It’s hot. Work has started. And it’s gonna be a fun time.
